New 40-unit building in the heart of Washington DC’s Shaw neighborhood, on a site long occupied by a parking lot. We initially completed the Schematic Design and initiated the HPRB Approval effort for this building in 2022 for a developer who ultimately did not move forward with the purchase. A year later, on behalf of a different development team and acting in the capacity of Design Architect given our prior involvement in the project, we re-enacted the HPRB Approval process, secured unanimous HPRB approval after close coordination with neighbors, and assisted with securing BZA relief. Lee Design Studio has been engaged as Architect of Record and is responsible for the Construction Documents and subsequent phases of the project.
